Brian’s Optik 9.0 intermediate trapper is a performance level trapper for those goalies that want Brian’s quality but don’t want to spend as much as a pro glove. With a very similar build to the Optik Pro trapper the Optik 9.0 brings an unparalleled level of quality to mid-range equipment.
The Optik 9.0 catcher is made with traditional Jenpro construction, as well as having a traditional nylon lace pocket for better viewing angles to covered pucks.
The Optik 9.0 intermediate catcher is a 35* degree break angle, staying similar with it’s pro model. This angle makes closing the gloves more finger focussed rather than using the whole hand.
The pocket is a deep, wide single T pocket, allowing for a wider catch area as well as increased visibility when catching the puck. The single T pocket is believed to increase the ease of closure on the trapper, snapping shut when the puck contacts the pocket.
The Brians Optik 9.0 glove follows more traditional strapping styles, with velcro and nylon straps for adjustments. This is similar to most other brands and most comparable to the Airlite trapper or a G-netik 8.0 glove. The straps allow you to adjust tightness on the fingers and back of the hand to get the right fit.
The cuff is a one-piece design with an open backhand to avoid any sort of interference between the Optik glove and a chest protector. The no slip grip liner on the inside of the palm ensure that you don’t have to worry about your fingers slipping, allowing you to make the save every time.
The Brian's Optik 9.0 series trapper comes in a range of colourways including all white, white/black, white/red, white/blue and a white/black/red colour.
