Bauer Got it Right with Prodigy
Making it easy
The Bauer Prodigy line-up of sticks was specifically designed with youth hockey players in mind. Bauer has done extensive research to provide youth players to make sure that they have the proper "fit" for their height and development.
Using height and weight ranges from information collected from government agencies and also with Bauer’s own research and development, the Prodigy stick lineup has three specific heights. Each stick also has a unique shaft thickness to match it's flex profile so that your child can properly grip and flex their stick...ultimately translating into a more enjoyable experience for them on the ice.
Bauer’s Prodigy lineup also features other design elements such as indicators as to where to place the tape on the shaft and blade of the stick. This makes it super easy for beginners as they have a general guideline to go off of when they start out taping their sticks.
Additional indicators on the shaft provide more information about the stick such as the flex, the height range as well as the weight range. Looking at the sticks on the rack you’ll easily be able to tell what stick properly fits your child.
Next up is the Green 30 flex which is best suited for little guys or gals 50lbs to 70lbs and within the height range of 45” to 55”. Buy Now
The Red 35 flex is suggested for players 60lbs to 80lbs and within 50” to 60” in height. Buy Now
And finally, the Blue 40 flex is last size in the Prodigy series. It's ideal for little players 70lbs to 90lbs and for a height range of 55" to 65". Buy Now
This system provides an excellent guideline for beginners to use, and they can move up to the different sticks until they have grown out of youth series sticks and into junior sizes.
The Prodigy sticks are comprised of Bauer’s own composite material and the blade features a PU core. This means your little guy or girl is ensured excellent performance and durability out on the ice for the money.
