The CCM Tacks Vector Plus Shoulder Pads are a Source for Sports Exclusive product. The Vector Pro is based off the CCM Tacks 9040 Shoulder Pad, with upgraded features from the Tacks 9060 model.
Shoulder Caps & Protection
The CCM Vector Plus Shoulder Pad is constructed with a molded Exposed Foam shoulder cap with PE Foam Reinforcement. The molded shoulder cap provides the player an anatomical fit which is conducive to more mobility. The materials used in the shoulder cap provides lightweight protection, reducing that heavy feel shoulder pads often have.
Spine & Sternum Protection
The Sternum is constructed with floating, molded PE foams. The spine of the shoulder pad is integrated into the shoulder pad, using molded PE foam for protection. This provides a good level of protection in very sensitive spots.
Bicep Protection
The bicep on the Vector Plus is constructed with MD foams and has a customizable adjustment. This allows you to have the bicep protection in the exact spot you want to be covered.
Abdominal Protection Piece
The Tacks Vector Plus Shoulder Pad comes with a removable abdominal protection, that is easily removed with a velcro attachment. This an upgrade from the Tacks 9060 model.
Sizes
The CCM Tacks Vector Plus JR Shoulder Pads come in sizes Small through Large.

Player Shoulder Pad Sizing
Sizing before Purchase
To fit for a properly sized shoulder pad, you will need a soft tape measurer to measure and record your chest measurement. To do this, find the widest point of your chest (usually just below your armpits) and measure the circumference. Record the measurement in inches and compare to the available sizing charts in each brand. Also compare your height, weight and age to find your best fit.
Sizing after Purchase
Once you have received your new shoulder pad, stand in front of a mirror and strap them on. You will want to check the follow criteria to ensure a proper and protective fit.
1. The tips of your shoulder are sitting directly under the middle of the shoulder cap. If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap.
- This is important because if the shoulder cap does not sit in the correct position, your clavicles, shoulders, and upper arms can become more susceptible to injury.
- Adjust the bicep guards using the Velcro straps located underneath the shoulder caps (if applicable). At the highest point, the bicep guards should not be more than halfway down the upper arm. This is important because they can interfere with your elbow pads, throwing off the fit.
If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap and not directly in line with the middle.
