Exclusively offered by Source for Sports we introduce the new Bauer Vapor X Shift Pro Shoulder Pad. This pad embodies the base layer of the Vapor X900 Lite model, adding some key advancements to further enhance the pad.
The X Shift Pro is constructed with Hyperlite HD foam in the sternum, front/back side panels, and a Curv composite spine protector taken straight from the top of the line 1x model. The shoulder also has a low profile tapered fit, designed to enhance agility and mobility on the ice. This, coupled with the overall floating construction of the pad, creates a perfect balance of protection and mobility for those agile players.
The shoulder pad also offers the 37.5 Sanitized technology liner. With this being the fastest drying fabric on the market today, the liner drys as you work to regulate your body temperature to an ideal level, allowing you to put more energy back into your game.

Bauer Vapor Shoulder Pads Fit
The Bauer Vapor line offers ultimate mobility with a very lightweight design. A tapered fit starts wider at the top and narrows through the body for a secure and snug fit.
At The Hockey Shop, we believe a shoulder pad should ultimately offer you’re the protection you need, in addition to being mobile and comfortable. Some preference is involved in the overall fit of the pad, but we find sizing the pads based on a chest measurement is a very accurate measure. Once you have this measurement, you can match to the sizing charts.

Sizing before Purchase
To fit for a properly sized shoulder pad, you will need a soft tape measurer to measure and record your chest measurement. To do this, find the widest point of your chest (usually just below your armpits) and measure the circumference. Record the measurement in inches and compare to the available sizing charts in each brand. Also compare your height, weight and age to find your best fit.
Sizing after Purchase
Once you have received your new shoulder pad, stand in front of a mirror and strap them on. You will want to check the follow criteria to ensure a proper and protective fit:
1. The tips of your shoulder are sitting directly under the middle of the shoulder cap. If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap.
- This is important because if the shoulder cap does not sit in the correct position, your clavicles, shoulders, and upper arms can become more susceptible to injury.
- Adjust the bicep guards using the Velcro straps located underneath the shoulder caps (if applicable). At the highest point, the bicep guards should not be more than halfway down the upper arm. This is important because they can interfere with your elbow pads, throwing off the fit.
If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap and not directly in line with the middle.
