Introducing in 2024 is the Warrior RTL G7.1 Senior Goalie Catcher. With a 75° break angle, CoverEDGE+ design, and a HyperComp reinforced core, it makes this catcher stand out from the others. External Material
Warrior continues to use the CoverEDGE+ technology. It pushes the glove face forward a bit to cut the angle when challenging a shooter and the shot. On the RTL G7.1, the dimensions extend at the fingers, offering a longer catching area.
Break Angle
The RTL G7.1 features a 75° break angle, which has sewn in finger positioning. The index to low-thumb closure and a new cuff design enhances wrist mobility, allowing goalies to play with more swagger when facing a shot or a difficult scenario in game.
Pocket Design
The pocket uses a single-T coupled with an AxyFlex T design to maximize angles and perceived pocket size when challenging a player and the puck. The pocket with AxyFlex looks bigger since the T is angled more towards the pocket. Additionally, it helps deflect pucks downward into the pocket rather than outward for a rebound.
Strapping
Continuing on with the point one line, the palm and liner is not removable on any of the catchers. The strapping system is similar to the other catchers, allowing goalies to customize their own feel and fit. But the palm is not removable.
Cuff Design
The new cuff design is equipped to ehance wrist mobility, allowing for full wrist movement without any restrictions. This index to low-thumb closure and new cuff design increases wrist movement, providing more confidence in making the glove save.

The Warrior RTL G7.1 Senior Goalie Catcher comes in colors: Black, White/Black, White/Black/Red, White/Red, White/Royal and White. In-store and online, only White comes with regular and full-right options. More variants are available through Warrior.

Goalie Catcher Sizing
More times than not, the fit of your Goalie Catcher is often overlooked. This is likely the result of the limited size availability compared to other pieces of equipment, however a properly sized Catcher provides you the protection and stick control you trust.
Which Catcher Size is for you?
The first step to finding the correct Catcher size is to utilize the “heel-of-palm-to-tip-of-middle-finger” measurement. This measurement will generally send you to the appropriate size you need.
Analyzing the Catcher Fit
It is important to make sure the palm lines up properly within the catching glove, so that it can be closed without excessive force. New goalie gloves will be difficult to close initially, but through either a standard break-in process, or "baking" the catcher with our in-house convection skate ovens, they will soften over time.
*We do not recommend using any conventional in-home ovens, as the results have been very unpredictable in the past and could damage your Catcher.*
Next you want to ensure the adjustable wrist strap goes directly across the wrist bone, and has minimal to no interference with your chest protector. The goaltender should be able to swivel their wrist to accommodate a range of save selections without any restrictions from the chest protector.
Sizing for Growing Goaltenders
For growing goaltenders we recommend following the guidelines set above, rather than sizing up to accommodate growth. Oversized goalie gloves restrict control, especially for young developing goalies. As you climb the size ladder for Catchers, typically the glove requires more strength for pocket closure.
Which Hand Do I Need?
Figuring out which hand you need for your Catcher can be slightly confusing. Goalies generally refer to themselves as "REGULAR" or "FULL RIGHT". Below is the easiest way to simplify which hand you need.
