The VX1 Pro Carbon Chest & Arm Protector comes equipped with many key features, including a suspender retention straps on shoulder floaters, back shoulder blade padding, a chest design that expands to increase coverage, and a full pro-spec domestic construction.
External Material
The VX1 Pro Carbon chest pad exterior is made of high density foams that provides a light weight fee; with increased protection in key areas. It features carbon composite in major impact areas that provides goaltenders with increased levels of protection. High density ridged foams with carbon inserts that creates a more solid blocking surface for goalies.
Internal Foams
The padding inside the chest protector is made up of foams that can be found throughout the protector. The extended side rib cage coverage is articulated for an optimal fit and flex. The HD foams and carbon inserts are added to provide coverage from impacts and the carbon inserts provide mobility and flexibility when moving around.
Shoulder Caps
For the VX1 Pro Carbon, Vaughn increased the shoulder area for a greater blocking surface. The larger shoulder caps provides increased impact resistance, and the larger shoulder style floaters provides maximum coverage and protection from all impacts.
Arm Protection
The flat profile arms on the VX1 are designed to increase the coverage area, while the increased length wrist straps provide a more secure fit. The arm floaters on this protector have a deeper side profile that adds to the coverage area, a middle bar pad center seam and has HD foams and carbon inserts throughout the arms.
Elbow Caps
The VX1 is equipped with molded plastizote foam and HD foam elbow caps that provide protection and durability to goalies, while also allowing them to not restrict movements and allow for goaltenders to feel comfortable while wearing this protector.
Chest Protection
The chest is protected with a Kevlar ballistic package in the chest pad which provides goalies with maximum protection and coverage from all impacts.
