The Vaughn Velocity Pro V Elite 2 Carbon blocker takes the tried and tested blocker formula from its sibling the VE8 Pro Carbon. With slight updates and the addition of Quickslide to the underside of the blocker board, the PVE2 Carb offers a unique looking take on a blocker many goalies already love.
External Material
The Vaughn PVE2 Carbon blocker utilizes traditional Jenpro construction for a classic Vaughn look and feel. The blocker also has Quickslide on the underside of the tip of the blocker for better durability in paddle down situations.
Palm Material
The Vaughn Pro V Elite 2 Carbon uses a blocker palm that has 2 different materials. Across the palm and all the way up the thumb the blocker features a grippy MSH3 material that increases the goaltenders grip on the stick. The fingers are a traditional cream nash for more flexibility and comfort in the palm.
Side Hand Protection
The side protection of the Pro V Elite 2 Carbon blocker uses Vaughn’s now tried and tested Carbon Enhanced Performance formula to provide a thin and lightweight blocker board that still protective. The construction also allows for a slight flex for better seal to the body when body blocking.
Cuff
The cuff of the PVE2 is an adjustable outer strap to allow for customized wrist flexibility. The blocker also features an inner free floating cuff that provides protection from slashes and other potential stingers.
Hand Protection
Vaughn’s Pro V Elite 2 Carbon has very similar finger protection to the VE8 Carbon blocker. Using 2 pieces overlapping with fingertip extensions, the blocker provides full finger coverage with little hindrance to mobility.

Goalie Blockers Sizing
More times than not, the fit of your Goalie Blocker is often overlooked. This is likely the result of the limited size availability compared to other pieces of equipment, however a properly sized Blocker provides you the protection and stick control you trust.
Which Blocker Size is for you?
The first step to finding the correct Blocker size is to utilize the “heel-of-palm-to-tip-of-middle-finger” measurement. This measurement will generally send you to the appropriate size you need.
Analyzing the Blocker Fit
It is important to ensure that the fingers tips lie close to the seam of the palm, or within 0.5” if the Blocker is for a young growing goaltender. Next you want to ensure the adjustable wrist strap goes directly across the wrist bone, and has minimal to no interference with your chest protector. The goaltender should be able to swivel their wrist to accommodate a range of save selections without any restrictions from the chest protector. You also want to ensure that the goalie can maintain control of their stick in addition to being able to maneuver the blocker when handling the puck.
Which Hand Do I Need?
Figuring out which hand you need for your Blocker can be slightly confusing. Goalies generally refer to themselves as "REGULAR" or "FULL RIGHT". Below is the easiest way to simplify which hand you need.
