The Catalyst 7X3 Blocker is engineered to protect against the hardest shots and redirect pucks where desired. Featuring SureGrip palm material, straight index protection, and a face edge designed for deflecting pucks. This design combines fit, comfort, and performance in a game-ready, off-the-shelf package. Available in 5 different colors and regular or full-right options, depending on your catch hand.
Palm Material
This blocker features the Suregrip palm material. This material is a durable and reliable material that provides goalies with high-level protection but also top-tier comfort as well. It's design has been improved to last longer, keeping the blocker intact for longer periods of time. Additionally, its grip helps goalies hold their sticks and focus on that next save.
Finger Protection
The fingers are protected with a straight finger protective pad on the side. It is made of HD foams, similar to the board face. The straight finger protection keeps your fingers secure from slashes or impacts, and doesn't affect the ability to hold the stick.
Cuff Design
With its unique half-piece cuff design, the 7X3 blocker redefines goalkeeper gear. It is purposefully designed to give goalies unmatched flexibility and mobility on the ice. Goalies may now move their wrists with more freedom and agility thanks to this innovative design, which enables them to react quickly to incoming shots from any angle.
Internal Construction
The board is made up of thick HD foam and has a 615 blocker face edge. 615 is what Lefreuve uses to describe the side of the blocking surface. The blocker is effective in bouncing the puck away, thus helping and improving rebound control.

Goalie Blockers Sizing
More times than not, the fit of your Goalie Blocker is often overlooked. This is likely the result of the limited size availability compared to other pieces of equipment, however a properly sized Blocker provides you the protection and stick control you trust.
Which Blocker Size is for you?
The first step to finding the correct Blocker size is to utilize the “heel-of-palm-to-tip-of-middle-finger” measurement. This measurement will generally send you to the appropriate size you need.
Analyzing the Blocker Fit
It is important to ensure that the fingers tips lie close to the seam of the palm, or within 0.5” if the Blocker is for a young growing goaltender. Next you want to ensure the adjustable wrist strap goes directly across the wrist bone, and has minimal to no interference with your chest protector. The goaltender should be able to swivel their wrist to accommodate a range of save selections without any restrictions from the chest protector. You also want to ensure that the goalie can maintain control of their stick in addition to being able to maneuver the blocker when handling the puck.
Which Hand Do I Need?
Figuring out which hand you need for your Blocker can be slightly confusing. Goalies generally refer to themselves as "REGULAR" or "FULL RIGHT". Below is the easiest way to simplify which hand you need.
- Blocker Hands Simplified
- Regular - Blocker worn on your Right Hand
- Full Right - Blocker worn on your Left Hand
The leather is horribly stretched and stitched.
On the top, there's about quarter to half inch of space between the leather and the insert of the blocker. On the thumb side, the leather isn't smooth. it's wrinkled and looks horrible.
Also, in the process of returning and exchanging for a senior.
Hopefully the glove and blocker in the senior sizing will be cleaner and in better condition.
