Disgraceful quality: brittle and fragile bottle lids

Bought 17 of these from Just Hockey Source for Sports on June 11, 2024 for our hockey team. We used the Sherwood straw top bottles last season and figured we were getting an upgrade with Inglasco as they're the official supplier of pucks to the NHL. Guess I was wrong? Distributed these bottles to the team in August. We have just started preseason practices and exhibition games in September. There have already been 3 broken bottle lids in as many weeks. I reached out to Inglasco directly for help but it has been slow, frustrating and disappointing so far. Unbelievable but the customer service representative started by denying that it was their bottle! This is clearly a product defect. These bottles did not break from rough treatment -- they dropped from the boards or from waist height on to the ice. Dropping from the boards is a basic operating condition for the intended use case -- this is a hockey water bottle! It's as though Inglasco lacks the most basic quality control measures. As a minimum these bottles should be filled and endurance drop tested in a cold environment during design and testing. The quality and level of customer support is at best disgraceful for a Canadian company with products made in Canada but are more likely negligent in design, manufacture and quality control.
