Rising to the occasion, 1st overall draft pick Auston Matthews scored two goals, capped off by a game-winner in overtime with just 1:20 left on the clock. To seal the close 5-4 victory in clutch fashion, Matthews chipped a backhand shot past the goalie. "Definitely one of the best moments in hockey I've ever experienced. It's pretty special," Matthews reflected after his big-time performance, and 20th goal of his rookie season. "For us to come out and get that win, it was a pretty exciting game and people were on the edge of their seats there in the third period and overtime.
