CCM continues to experiment with what they can do in their goalie equipment, and the next chapter in the EFlex 5 goalie stick line looks to showcase that potential. The EFlex 5 ProLite is equipped with a new Sigma STG carbon weave, an optimized dampening construction, and a high flex profile. This iteration of the EFlex line has been optimized for puck control along the boards and more powerful shots on the breakout.
Shaft Construction
The shaft of the EFlex 5 ProLite is rounded for greater comfort and increased resistance against impact. For CCM’s goalie sticks this year, they are using a new, goalie-specific Sigma STG carbon weave in the construction. This weave is 30g lighter than before, making the ProLite CCM’s lightest stick to date. Not only is this weave lightweight, but it also adds a good amount of durability to the stick.
The EFlex 5 ProLite introduces a new high flex profile, which means the shaft is a bit softer than that in previous models.
Paddle Construction
The paddle uses a brand new optimized vibration dampening construction, coupled with Aerograde foam. The combination of a full carbon construction with the Aerograde foam helps deaden impact force even better than before. The new high flex profile means the paddle has been made stiffer than it was on previous models.
Blade Construction/Stiffness
The full carbon construction and Aerograde foam core are major contributors to the lighter, stronger blade on the EFlex 5 ProLite goalie stick.
The new high flex point has been optimized for catching pucks along the boards and clearing the zone. To achieve this effect, the paddle and blade have been made stiffer for more stability.
Graphics
The EFLex 5 ProLite comes in two colours at stock: Black/White and Purple/Black. The way the patterns and shades are layered on the Black/White variation appear more metallic and even blue in colour; on the Purple/Black model, the colour distribution is more subtle and darker for a more subtle and low-profile look. The colours indicate the curve; Purple/Black indicates a P1 curve, whereas White/Grey indicates a P4 curve.
Blade Patterns, Paddle Lengths, Stick Lengths, Weight, Level of Play
The EFLex 5 ProLite features a new high kick point for better shooting and handling along the boards. It comes in the following blade patterns and lengths:
P4 (24”) - L/R
P1 (24”) - L
