Introducing the CCM Axis XF Senior Goalie Pants. The top-of-the line goalie pant for CCM in 2024 comes with a few key upgrades, making it stand out from its competition. With a fit+ inner belt system providing comfort, mobility, and protection, an Aer-Tec ventilation system with HD foam to keep you protected, and being constructed of 420D high-abrasion nylon, these pants have all the key features a top-end pant should have.
Waist/Fit
Fitting snug around your waist, the max flex fit is built for maximum mobility while maintaining coverage. It adapts easily for goalies that prefer to tuck. The waist portion of the pant features a contoured fit with molded MD/LD foam, it allows for maximum protection and coverage, while also not missing out on durability and comfort.
External Material
The outside is made of 420D high-abraison nylon and features breathable and stretchable zones to provide movement and airflow throughout the pants.
Belt/Lace Closure
To keep the pants tight, they feature a fit+ inner belt system. This system comes with an improved fit and feel that can be adapted for comfort, durability, and tuck preferences.
Length Extension
These pants come with the option to be slightly adjusted to a longer length. The hidden zipper giving a 1" length extender gives goalies the option for extra length to further comfort their needs.
Hip/Groing Protection
The flexmotion design with segmented D3O smart material provide protection to the hip and groin area while also giving maximum mobile protection for dynamic movements from save to save.
Spine Protection
The spine protection features Aer-Tec ventilation system with molded HD foam. The maximized airflow promotes sweat evaporation and improved performance.
Internal Liner
The Aer-Tec ventilation system is a perforated liner with airflow channels for maximum breathability, absorbing sweat and keeping you cool and dry while on the ice.
Thigh Protection
The thigh support features adjustable inner and outer protection. This allows goalies to adjust the angle of the padding or how they want the padding to sit.

Goalie Pants offer substantially more protection than their player counterparts. The hips are reinforced with high-density foam instead of a thin layer of nylon/elastic. The thighs of a goalie pants are usually squared off for coverage purposes and made with thick plastic and foam. The waist of a goal pant is also beefed up to protect vital organs. Even the way a goalie pant moves in relation to a player pant is even different. Hockey Player Pants are designed to move back and forth, while Goalie Pants are more effective for lateral movements that a goalie naturally has to make.
Why Proper Sizing Is Important
Properly sized Goalie Pants are imperative to make sure all of your goaltending equipment fits together seamlessly. An improperly fit goalie pant can cause your chest protector to ride up and feel uncomfortable. When a goal pant is fit properly, it integrates well with the fit of your chest protector to provide unrestricted movement and full protection.
Finding the Right Sized Goalie Pants
The first step is to take measurements that relate to the provided sizing charts on any individual goal pant’s product page on our website. Usually this is accomplished by matching a waist to a given size. Matching up waist sizes exactly isn’t always necessary as it is very common for goalies to wear pants that are wider to increase net coverage, mobility and comfort. Some goalies also prefer a looser fit around the waist and use suspenders to keep their pants from falling down.
Fitting Your Goalie Pants
After figuring how you want to wear the pants around your waist, it is important that the pant is sized such that they sit above the kneecap. This should leave enough room for the knee wing of the leg pad to rest on the inside edge of the knee. Pants that sit too low can interfere with the goalie leg pads.
