It features upgrades from the higher end model skates packed in at a margin of the cost. The new lightweight Digital Composite quarter package mixed with the Motion Flex facing provides great support and flexibility for the youth player. The X shift pro is a perfect choice for the young guns looking for a snazzy high quality skate.
Skate Fit Profile
Vapor continues to be one of the most popular choices for our youth demographic. The Vapor X Shift pro offers a low volume and slightly narrower foot profile which we have noticed to be common in our future NHLers. The X Shift Pro also has a snug heel fit which adds great stability for all levels of players.
Boot Construction & Stiffness Profile
New to the Vapor X Shift Pro is the Digital Composite quarter boot. The construction is slightly softer than the junior sizes. They have also implemented MotionFlex technology from the Vapor 3x to increase the forward flex of the boot. This forward flex is imperative for younger players when developing their skating strides and building good technique.
Liner & Internal Padding
The X Shift pro Youth skate features the new 1 Piece Hydrolite Liner and lightweight memory foam ankle pads with moldable properties for great comfort. The Hydrolite liner keeps moisture to a minimum for peak performance. It also offers Comfort Edge lining along the top of the boot to nullify bites when stopping or performing tight turns.
Tongue
The tongue found on the X Shift Pro is a 40 oz felt tongue. It also provides a metatarsal guard woven into the middle to provide protection and comfort against lace bite.
Insoles
The X Shift Pro comes with the Lock Fit insole. This sole helps increase the forward flex of the skate and grips your foot to the bed of the boot. This allows you to increase the control and blade contact you have while skating.
Lacing System
The X Shift Pro Youth skate comes with a standard eyelet lacing system.
Steel Runner, Holder & Blade Profile
The Vapor X Shift Pro comes standard with a Lightspeed Pro 2 holder and Lightspeed 1 steel combo. Although this combination does not allow you to replace the steel like the senior/intermediate/junior models, the lightspeed 1 holder is the top blade you can get in youth sizing.
Graphics
Like the 3x Pro and other models in the Vapor line, the X Shift Pro follows the traditional Vapor look we come to love. The graphic transitions from dark to lighter grey top to bottom. Complementing this is a vibrant red comfort edge liner that pulls everything together quite nicely.

These skates are great, really improved my sons strides and turns.
Shipping is amazingly fast.
One skate and the fabric on the tongue came apart near the top laces. It was never stocked and the lace bite padding popped loose. When lacing, these things flex so much it’s ridiculous. Lacing them deforms the boot,
This is my songs third pairs of skates and the worst. Price had never been an issue and his last pair was twice this price and they were quality. The fault really lies on the store, which had limited options for skates in the size range. I asked fo a better quality skat and this was all they had.
Hi Justin, thanks for taking the time to leave feedback for us. We apologize for the quality of the skates not living up to your standards and understand why you may be frustrated. We understand that a store manager has caught up with you and we are taking steps to work towards getting you looked after. Let us know if you have any further questions or concerns. Thanks again for the feedback.

Hockey Player Skate Sizing Guide
When sizing for the correct size of a skate, we always advise taking the measurements below from a sitting position and not standing upright. Additional weight on your foot/feet can skew your result and misrepresent your foot size. The reason for this is that as you put your full weight on your feet, the arch of your foot will collapse and cause your foot to appear wider or longer than it actually is.
As well, please be aware that skate sizes and shoes sizing do not match exactly. As a general guideline, skates size 1 ½ sizes smaller than shoes.
It is ideal for a player to have a tight, snug fit both in length and width as this will provide the best performance and durability. If a skate is too big you will feel your feet slide around and you will not get the full performance out of the skates and can also develop calcium deposits - Haglund’s Deformity or “Bauer Bumps” for lack of a better term although this issue doesn’t only occur with Bauer models.
An Ideal Fit: Stand with your skates laced and your heel snug in the heel cup. Your toes should just barely feather the end of the toe box. Bend forward into a skating stance. Your toes should pull back slightly from the toe box. Once heat fit, your foot should slide back into the foams of the skate and the length you felt in your skating stance will more-or-less become you standing size.
To obtain the measurement above you will need a soft tape measure and a pen. Start by placing the tape measure flat along the ground in a straight line. Sitting in a chair, place your foot down with the longest point of your foot (usually big toe, or second toe) in line with the edge of the tape measure. Make sure you keep your weight off of your foot. Take a pen and mark the tape measure where the edge of your heel ends. Record this length in cm. This measurement will correspond with the sizing charts in each brand below, if you do not see your exact measurement, select the size with the next size increment above your measurement (i.e. you measure 24.9 cm, you would select 25.1 cm or Size 6).
Sizing Children for Growth Room: If you are purchasing skates for your child, it is common and usually recommended to add some additional room in the skate to increase the last, we recommend no more than 1 full size. Feet stop growing around ages 15 – 15 ½, and from ages 14 - 15 ½ we would recommend adding only half (1/2) a size in length. Follow the same measurement instructions as above, once you obtain your true size move up ½ or 1 size.
***Sizing of skates is very preference based and these measurements will not guarantee a fit that is right for you. Please use these as general guidelines, for the most accurate fit we always recommend getting measured by a professional skate fitter at our store or your local pro shop.***
