The Bauer Supreme Fuse Shoulder Pads are an elite-level shoulder pad available at the Youth level. They are designed to be extremely protective and lightweight, promoting comfort, mobility, and reducing the risk of injury. These shoulder pads feature a CURV Composite Sternum, Oversized head opening, and a Thermomax sublimated liner to keep players dry and cool while on the ice.
Shoulder Caps & Protection
The shoulder caps are low profile and molded to lower wind resistance and make to keep your speed and glide on the ice. They have integrated foams and durable caps to keep the shoulder protected from impacts of all forces.
Sternum Protection
The Supreme Fuse Youth shoulder pads feature a floating sternum design that is reinforced with CURV Composite. CURV Composite material in this area to ensure that the protection remains lightweight without compromising on safety. These shoulder pads also include a full coverage ventilated vest with an oversized head opening, providing protection all around the torso, while being easy and convenient to put-on and wear.
Spine Protection
The spine and back areas are protected with an integrated spine protection with PE inserts. This design allows the players to feel confident on the ice when facing impacts, knowing that their gear will keep them protected and secure. The PE inserts are strategically placed throughout the shoulder pads which allows for further protection. For extra padding, the full coverage vest with vented foam is designed to wrap the body, and keep the padding in place while the player moves around on the ice.
Bicep Protection
To keep the biceps protected and secure, Bauer has implemented an adjustable bicep with molded PE foams. The pads sit below the shoulder caps and can be adjusted with a velcro strap, ensuring a snug and secure fit. The molded PE foams provide players with protection from impacts, while the velcro adjustability keeps the arms in place, without restricting mobility.
Liner
As seen on various Bauer shoulder pads, the Supreme Fuse uses the Thermomax sublimated liner. It is designed to repel sweat and odors, keeping your shoulder pads fresher for longer. The liner will also keep you cool and comfortable while you are in your gear.

Hockey Shoulder Pads Sizing Information
Sizing before Purchase
To fit for a properly sized shoulder pad, you will need a soft tape measurer to measure and record your chest measurement. To do this, find the widest point of your chest (usually just below your armpits) and measure the circumference. Record the measurement in inches and compare to the available sizing charts in each brand. Also compare your height, weight and age to find your best fit.
Sizing after Purchase
Once you have received your new shoulder pad, stand in front of a mirror and strap them on. You will want to check the follow criteria to ensure a proper and protective fit.
1. The tips of your shoulder are sitting directly under the middle of the shoulder cap. If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap.
- This is important because if the shoulder cap does not sit in the correct position, your clavicles, shoulders, and upper arms can become more susceptible to injury.
- Adjust the bicep guards using the Velcro straps located underneath the shoulder caps (if applicable). At the highest point, the bicep guards should not be more than halfway down the upper arm. This is important because they can interfere with your elbow pads, throwing off the fit.
If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap and not directly in line with the middle.
