Serving players since 1988.Intro & New Features
Experience the next level of protection and performance with the new Bauer Supreme line for the 2026 season. The gear is designed to offer great protection against impacts in all directions while still allowing for lots of maneuverability. The F40 is competitive-level equipment designed for comfort and safety, while keeping to a more affordable price point.
Shoulder Caps & Protection
The shoulders are covered with full coverage shoulder caps that have integrated foams inside to provide protection from impacts. The foams are designed to absorb impacts and disperse them away so that players are left protected, reducing the risk of injury. The shoulder caps are also designed to move with the player as they move, keeping the padding in place.
Sternum Protection
The torso is protected with an integrated molded sternum pad. The sternum pad features durable foams that are designed to last, while also absorbing impacts and dispersing force away, providing players with protection. The molded front panel extends down to the waist, which works with the sternum pad to provide coverage to all areas in the chest. The rib coverage has been extended to further enhance the level of protection that these shoulder pads provide for players.
Spine Protection
The spine and back are protected with a full coverage vest with extended rib coverage, designed to wrap around the body and cover areas that need protection. Throughout the back, Bauer added a full coverage molded PE spine protection that provides protection from impacts by absorbing them and dispersing the force away, leaving players secure and reducing the risk of injuries.
Bicep Protection
To keep the biceps protected and secure, Bauer has implemented an adjustable bicep with molded PE foams. The pads sit below the shoulder caps and can be adjusted with a velcro strap ensuring a snug and secure fit. The molded PE foams provide players with protection from impacts, while the velcro adjustability keeps the arms in place, without restricting mobility.
Liner
As seen on previous years of Bauer shoulder pads, Bauer continues to use the Thermomax Sublimated liner. It is designed to repel sweat and odors, keeping your shoulder pads fresher for longer. The liner will also keep you cool and comfortable while you are in your gear.

Hockey Shoulder Pads Sizing Information
Sizing before Purchase
To fit for a properly sized shoulder pad, you will need a soft tape measurer to measure and record your chest measurement. To do this, find the widest point of your chest (usually just below your armpits) and measure the circumference. Record the measurement in inches and compare to the available sizing charts in each brand. Also compare your height, weight and age to find your best fit.
Sizing after Purchase
Once you have received your new shoulder pad, stand in front of a mirror and strap them on. You will want to check the follow criteria to ensure a proper and protective fit.
1. The tips of your shoulder are sitting directly under the middle of the shoulder cap. If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap.
- This is important because if the shoulder cap does not sit in the correct position, your clavicles, shoulders, and upper arms can become more susceptible to injury.
- Adjust the bicep guards using the Velcro straps located underneath the shoulder caps (if applicable). At the highest point, the bicep guards should not be more than halfway down the upper arm. This is important because they can interfere with your elbow pads, throwing off the fit.
If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap and not directly in line with the middle.
