The Bauer Supreme 3S Pro JR Hockey Shoulder Pads target the performance players. These shoulder pads are designed for the player on the ice roughly 3-4 times a week looking for features that will help their performance, but at a margin of the price of the UltraSonic. Bauer has designed the 3S pro to maximize the player's protection without hindering any mobility or comfort in the shoulder pad.
Shoulder Caps & Protection
The Supreme 3S Pro keeps the same performance element as the UltraSonic with the (Active Motion Protection(AMP) shoulder cap with Vent Armour Foam. Bauer has specifically designed the AMP technology to allow the shoulder cap to move with you. The Vent armour offers elite level protection, breathability, and doesn't sacrifice any mobility.
Sternum Protection
The new ADAPTIV Skin Sternum is low profile and provides protection that morphs to your body shape. The 3S Pro also features a sternum front panel that floats over top of the ADAPTIV Skin. This technology allows you to move freely with the shoulder pad, while still having the protection you require.
Spine Protection
The spine protection on the Supreme 3S Pro shoulder pad consists of a molded High-Density foam. The back panel underneath the spine insert is a full coverage molded vest that extends around to the ribs to cover any unprotected areas on the upper body.
Bicep Protection
The 3S Pro shoulder pad features an adjustable split bicep. The AMP technology design within the bicep pieces has no restriction in movement and allows you to have a full range of motion on the ice.
Liner
Bauer’s Thermo Max+ liner is infused with an antimicrobial and sweat management system to keep your body temperature regulated and allow the shoulder pad to dry quickly after use.
Abdominal Protection Piece
The extended abdominal protection piece is removable, giving you the option to leave it on for full coverage, or removing it if there’s any interference with the pants. We have found this piece to be very helpful with the players that are growing quickly, and find themselves in between sizes mid season.

Hockey Shoulder Pads Sizing Information
Sizing before Purchase
To fit for a properly sized shoulder pad, you will need a soft tape measurer to measure and record your chest measurement. To do this, find the widest point of your chest (usually just below your armpits) and measure the circumference. Record the measurement in inches and compare to the available sizing charts in each brand. Also compare your height, weight and age to find your best fit.
Sizing after Purchase
Once you have received your new shoulder pad, stand in front of a mirror and strap them on. You will want to check the follow criteria to ensure a proper and protective fit.
1. The tips of your shoulder are sitting directly under the middle of the shoulder cap. If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap.
- This is important because if the shoulder cap does not sit in the correct position, your clavicles, shoulders, and upper arms can become more susceptible to injury.
- Adjust the bicep guards using the Velcro straps located underneath the shoulder caps (if applicable). At the highest point, the bicep guards should not be more than halfway down the upper arm. This is important because they can interfere with your elbow pads, throwing off the fit.
If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap and not directly in line with the middle.
