Bauer changed the game by introducing the Re-Akt helmet specifically designed to manage all types of hockey impacts. Fast-forward to the present and to keep things simple, they've done it again. The Bauer Re-Akt 200 has taken feedback from all past Re-Akt models to construct a new helmet that takes protection to all new heights.
As soon as you pop this bucket on your head, the most immediate difference you will notice is the all-new Suspend-Tech NG Liner, which is a multi-density liner that is designed to adapt to your head shape for superior comfort, fit, and protection from any impacts in the sport. Once the helmet is on, get ready for the Re-Akt 200's all-new custom fit technology with the Bauer Fit Plate, a moldable occipital lock allowing for a true custom fit for added protection and comfort. The new Re-Akt 200 will also take advantage of Bauer's industry leading lightweight VTX Technology, XRD Foam, and other advanced molded foams to create the most innovative and comfortable liner to date.
Not only is this helmet an industry leader in protection and comfort, but a brand new shell design coupled with Bauer's Central Tool-Free Adjustment system make this helmet not only fully customizable, but slick looking as well.

Hockey Helmet Sizing
Bauer Hockey Helmet Fit
These helmets tend to fit narrower in width and very standard in length. Bauer helmets tend to be a very middle of the road approach in shape and fit a large majority of heads. For players that have a narrower head these helmets will be very comfortable.
Sizing before Purchase
To fit for your proper sized helmet you will need a soft tape measure. Take this tape measure and have another person snugly wrap it around your head at the largest point, usually just above the eyebrows (see left). Record this measurement of circumference and compare it to the available sizing charts in the brand of helmet you are looking at.
Sizing after Purchase
To ensure a good fit after you have received your proper sized helmet, flip open and unlock the helmet clip(s) and slide the helmet to its last and largest setting. Position it on the head so the rim is one finger width above the eyebrow. Gradually begin to downsize the helmet, pressing on the front and back until a comfortable, snug fit is achieved. Lock the helmet into this size by pressing down and closing the locking adjustment(s). Look in a mirror while wearing the helmet to make sure the ear guards are covering at least half of your ear and to make sure the helmet does not appear to be shifting back and forth on your head.
It is recommended to use a mouth guard although not required. It is recommended that players wear HECC and CE Certified helmets and in Hockey Canada sanctioned leagues it is required for helmets to be CSA approved. CSA, HECC and CE Certified stickers are fixed to the helmets indicating their certification.
