The first thing you’ll notice when you pick up the 2X Pro glove is how light it is. Then when you put them on, you’ll find that they’re pretty much already broken in right off the shelf which is almost never the case with a pro level glove. Vapor gloves have always been one our best selling glove lines because of their great fit and feel. The Vapor 2X Pro glove over-delivers on what a top end glove should be - it has a butter soft feel and is super-light without sacrificing protection.
Redesigned Fit
The new Vapor gloves fits just a touch narrower than previous Vapor models. It’s not quite as tight as Bauer’s Supreme fit but is a nice fit modification that eliminates some of the excess gaps in the previous Vapor fit. One of the big reasons the 2X Pro glove feels so nice is the new CONNECT + palm and HYPERSENSE finger gussets. The CONNECT + palm gives you an unbelievable feel for your stick. It’s probably as nice as a palm as I’ve ever felt. I’d describe it as a cross between a traditional nash palm feel but with the thin feel of pro digital palm.
An underrated feature of the 2X Pro is the stretch gussets. They feel great and do a great job keeping your fingers close to the protective inserts without reducing comfort or mobility. The closer a glove fits, the more protective it is so this is a good thing.
The inner back hand features Bauer’s THERMO CORE liner. This hydrophobic layer is extremely soft and feels great on your hands. While there isn’t any liner that will keep your gloves completely dry, THERMO CORE does a nice job of keeping your gloves fresher in between ice-times. Additionally, the fingers are lined with Bauer’s new HYPERSENSE technology. This is a new material that really adds to soft, rich feel of the glove.
Protection Package

This is crazy light for a hockey glove. In order to achieve this weight benchmark, Bauer engineers designed SHOCK LITE foam. SHOCK LITE foams deliver pro protection without the bulk or weight of traditional plastic inserts.
Final Thoughts
It come with a premium price tag but the 2X Pro glove feels amazing immediately while also providing a high-level of protection. Whether you play at the highest levels or simply want to treat yourself, this a glove that will impress you from the moment you pick it up.
