Revamped and redesigned, the CCM Ribcor 70K skates are based on industry leading bio-mechanics research conducted with top NHL players. The Ribcor provides a flexible boot with low volume fit that is narrow in the forefoot and tight on the ankle. A contoured heel lock design replaces the need for the Pump while offering a snug and comfortable fit.
The quarter package of the 70K is made of a 3D-lasted composite which provides a better and more comfortable fit overall and lateral stability. The FlexFrame technology core provides flexion in the eyelet areas for a bio-mechanically correct stride and provides reinforcements that are strategically placed to increase durability. A TotalDri liner uses a premium material that is specially designed to wick moisture and sweat away from the foot to keep the boot lightweight and your feet feeling dry and durazone abrasion patches are attached at the top eyelets on either side to reduce wear and tear from the tongue.
The tongue of the skate features a white felt Tritech construction that is molded to a player’s feet and ankles. Additionally, molded lace bite protection has been added to the front of the felt to provide a barrier from the laces and offer better comfort. On the inside of the boot, multi-density memory foam has been placed asymmetrically to anatomically wrap around the player’s foot and a smooth contour pad wraps around the top of the boot to eliminate abrasions along the leg.
A SpeedBlade holder provides 4mm of extra height from the ice to allow for up to 10% greater turning radius for a more aggressive angle of attack and the SpeedBlade Black steel provides a carbon oxide coating to cut the ice with less friction and provide a longer lasting sharpening as well as advanced performance.
