The CCM Fitlite 50 Helmet/Cage combos provides ample protection at the base-price point. New to the market for the 2019/20 season, the Fitlite 50 is available as a stand alone helmet or in a combo with a cage.
The Fitlite 50 offers easy tool-free length adjustments with two clips, one located on each side of the helmet, and is fully certified for hockey in Canada and the United States.
The cage combos come with a cage already installed, so you can quickly go from the store to the ice.
Outer Shell Construction
The outer shell of the Fitlite 50 is made using a two-piece design for easy length adjustment and is composed of a lightweight high-density HDPE.
Internal Foams & Liner
The inside of the helmet offers a multi-density foam liner to protect the head. The high-density foam in the liner disperses high energy impacts and the lower-density foams provide comfort impact dispersion as well.
Cage Construction
The Fitlite 50 combos come pre-equipped with a Fitlite 50 cage. These cages come with a thin round wire construction and a comfort foam chin cup construction with a wire guard to protect your chin.
Fit & Sizing Adjustments
The Fitlite 50 uses tool-free adjustment clips on either side of the helmet for easy length customization.
Certification
These combos are certified with HECC and CSA certification, so they are legal for use in both Canada and the United States.
Sizes & Colors
The Fitlite 50 helmets are available in Black in sizes X-Small (Junior), Small, Medium, and Large as cage combos.

Hockey Helmet Sizing
CCM Fitlite Hockey Helmet Fit
The Fitlite line models the same fit as its Reebok predecessors. These helmets tend to fit wider on the sides and shorter in length. The fit is more circular in shape and will fit players whose head are more round.
Sizing before Purchase
To fit for your proper sized helmet you will need a soft tape measure. Take this tape measure and have another person snugly wrap it around your head at the largest point, usually just above the eyebrows (see left). Record this measurement of circumference and compare it to the available sizing charts in the brand of helmet you are looking at.
Sizing after Purchase
To ensure a good fit after you have received your proper sized helmet, flip open and unlock the helmet clip(s) and slide the helmet to its last and largest setting. Position it on the head so the rim is one finger width above the eyebrow. Gradually begin to downsize the helmet, pressing on the front and back until a comfortable, snug fit is achieved. Lock the helmet into this size by pressing down and closing the locking adjustment(s). Look in a mirror while wearing the helmet to make sure the ear guards are covering at least half of your ear and to make sure the helmet does not appear to be shifting back and forth on your head.
It is recommended to use a mouth guard although not required. It is recommended that players wear HECC and CE Certified helmets and in Hockey Canada sanctioned leagues it is required for helmets to be CSA approved. CSA, HECC and CE Certified stickers are fixed to the helmets indicating their certification.
