The Bauer Supreme UltraSonic YTH Hockey Shoulder Pads have arrived to give elite level protection and mobility to the future stars of the game! The shoulder pad features a new construction allowing for an extra wide head opening without sacrificing coverage while the cap will move with the player, inspired by Bauer’s Supreme Active Motion Protection(AMP) construction.

Bauer has also added the dual anchor strap to the youth shoulder to make it easier for the parent to lock the pad in place.

Shoulder Caps & Protection
A low profile shoulder cap with molded MD foam keeps the UltraSonic youth shoulder pad mobile while not sacrificing protection.

Sternum Protection
The UltraSonic youth shoulder pad features a floating sternum, with molded PE inserts throughout to protect youth players from straight-on collisions and impacts.

Spine Protection
The spinal protection on the UltraSonic Youth shoulder pad is filled with HD foam inserts giving the player full back coverage.

Bicep Protection
The bicep protector is adjustable and features Polyethylene(PE) inserts to allow for the perfect balance of protection and mobility.

Liner
Bauer is using the Thermo Max sub liner in the UltraSonic Youth shoulder pad. This liner incorporates moisture wicking properties, and will help keep your body cool during play.

Abdominal Protection Piece
The Bauer Supreme UltraSonic Youth Shoulder pad does not come with a removable abdominal sternum protective piece. This feature is only available on the Junior, Intermediate, and Senior sizes.

Hockey Shoulder Pads Sizing Information

Sizing before Purchase
To fit for a properly sized shoulder pad, you will need a soft tape measurer to measure and record your chest measurement. To do this, find the widest point of your chest (usually just below your armpits) and measure the circumference. Record the measurement in inches and compare to the available sizing charts in each brand. Also compare your height, weight and age to find your best fit.

Sizing after Purchase
Once you have received your new shoulder pad, stand in front of a mirror and strap them on. You will want to check the follow criteria to ensure a proper and protective fit.

1. The tips of your shoulder are sitting directly under the middle of the shoulder cap. If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap.

  • This is important because if the shoulder cap does not sit in the correct position, your clavicles, shoulders, and upper arms can become more susceptible to injury.
2. The bicep guards are positioned maximum halfway down the upper arm.
  • Adjust the bicep guards using the Velcro straps located underneath the shoulder caps (if applicable). At the highest point, the bicep guards should not be more than halfway down the upper arm. This is important because they can interfere with your elbow pads, throwing off the fit.

If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap and not directly in line with the middle.
