Orders can be placed online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You can also chat with a customer service representative via Live Chat, Email, or over the Phone to get the answers to any questions you may have.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express or PayPal. All orders are subject to our verification process to authorize valid payment. In order to prevent fraudulent activity we must verify all "Bill To" and "Ship To" addresses. Please make sure to provide your exact billing address and phone number that corresponds with the credit card or PayPal account you are using. All orders placed via PayPal must be shipped to the confirmed PayPal shipping address. An error in the information submitted my cause a delay in the shipment or may have your order cancelled outright.
If you are placing a large order or are submitting an order from the US it is recommended that you contact your credit card supplier prior to placing your order to confirm the purchase. If the transaction is deemed outside of your normal spending habits, be it the amount or our location, the credit card supplier may "red flag" your transaction. This will cause a delay and will prevent us from shipping your parcel within 24 hours.
We no longer accept Wire Transfers, Money Orders, cash in the mail or ship COD.
We now offer Free Base Rate Shipping on orders over $100.00 (pretax) to select locations across Canada. Purolator Ground - This is the first choice and our recommended option for the bulk of our customers. If you are placing an order over $100.00 (pretax) you will most likely qualify to have your order shipped to your door for free, assuming Purolator services your area. Purolator has more shipping facilities and regional centres than any other freight and parcel solution provider in Canada, so this is the fastest and most reliable option if you are located in a major city. All Purolator parcel deliver within ten (10) business days within Canada. For a more accurate date on when a parcel will arrive to your specific province please see Delivery Estimates below.
Purolator Express - Looking to get your parcel a little faster? We do offer Purolator Express which is a guaranteed two (2) day service across Canada. Although it is not included in our Free Shipping offer, you are provided with guaranteed shipping for a small fee.
Canada Post Expedited - For those of you living in a rural community that Purolator does not service, this is your best solution. Providing service to over 15 billon addresses across Canada there is no location to rural for Canada Post. Although Canada Post rates are not part of our free shipping offer, you are able to use our heavily discounted rate to save considerably on shipments to your location.
Select products online do have oversized charges due to the size and / or weight of the item. These items such as Sticks, Leg Pads and Wheel Bags have the oversized charge clearly marked on them before you add the item to "Your Bag". It is important to note that Oversized Charges are not covered under our Free Shipping offer.
If you are placing an order under $100, do not qualify for free shipping, or are choosing one of the other shipping options you are paying what we pay. We don’t over charge our customers, estimate or round up. You are taking advantage of the discounted rates of not only The Hockey Shop, but the entire Source for Sports buying group. We ship tens of thousands of parcels a year and leverage this against all parcel services companies to get the best possible rates.
We strive to have all orders shipped out on the next business day. Due to this we are unable to make any changes to a order once it has been placed. Please double check all information is correct before placing your order.
Once a order has been cancelled we are unable to reinstate the order. It is recommended that you replace the order online.
Once an order has been processed we are unable to change or edit a shipping address. You may cancel the order provided it has not shipped and replace the order online.
If an order is deemed "Undeliverable" my Purolator or Canada Post it will be taken to the regional pick up facility and will remain there until you pick up the parcel. If you do not pick up the parcel after 5 business days the parcel will be returned to us at your cost. Once the parcel is returned to The Hockey Shop you will be refunded in full minus all shipping costs. This includes the cost to send the parcel to you AND the cost to return the parcel to us as well as any additional fees from Canada Post or Purolator.
When placing an order you are provided with a Estimates Arrival of your parcel before completing your order. Once your order has been placed you will receive multiple notifications including a "Confirmation" email to confirm that your order has been placed, a "Processing" email to confirm that your transaction has been approved and your order is awaiting shipment, and lastly a "Shipped" email providing you with a tracking number so you can follow your order from our door to yours. It is important that the "Shipped" email may not necessary mean that your parcel has left our warehouse. This just means that the parcel is has been picked, packed and is ready to ship. We may still be waiting on our daily Purolator to pick up to get your order on its way to you.
